Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of SimplyStudy at simplystudy.net and related applications (the “Service”), operated by SimplyStudy (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account, subscribing to Premium, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

1. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use SimplyStudy. If you are under 18, you should use the Service with permission from a parent or guardian. You are responsible for ensuring your use complies with applicable laws in your country.

2. Your account

• You must provide accurate registration information and keep your credentials secure.
• You are responsible for activity under your account.
• Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security or abuse risk.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, harmful, or harassing purposes
• Attempt to bypass usage limits, authentication, or Premium restrictions
• Scrape, reverse-engineer, or overload our systems
• Upload malware or content that infringes others’ intellectual property or privacy
• Share account access or resell the Service without permission

We enforce daily AI quotas and rate limits to keep the Service fair for all users.

4. AI-generated content disclaimer

SimplyStudy uses artificial intelligence to generate lessons, quizzes, explanations, and other study content. AI output may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. It is provided for educational support only and is not a substitute for professional advice (medical, legal, financial, or otherwise). You should verify important information with authoritative sources. We do not guarantee the accuracy of AI-generated content.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including its design, branding, and software, is owned by SimplyStudy or its licensors. You receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service for your own learning.

You retain ownership of study notes and content you upload. By submitting content to generate study kits or other features, you grant us a license to process that content solely to provide the Service to you.

6. Premium subscriptions and billing

Some features require a paid Premium subscription, processed through Stripe. Prices and included features are shown at checkout.

• Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription through the account/billing flow or Stripe customer portal where available.
• Refunds are handled according to applicable law and our refund policy at the time of purchase. Where required by law (including EU consumer rules for digital content), you may have a right to withdraw within 14 days unless you expressly requested immediate access and acknowledged the loss of that right.
• We may change Premium pricing or features with reasonable notice; changes apply to future billing periods.

7. Guest mode and free tier

Guest and free accounts have limited daily access to AI features. Progress and saved library items may be stored locally on your device and can be lost if you clear browser data or switch devices.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. You may request account deletion through the in-app Feedback form. We may suspend or terminate access if you breach these Terms, abuse the Service, or if required by law. Sections that by nature should survive (disclaimers, liability limits, governing law) will survive termination.

9. Disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIMPLYSTUDY AND ITS OPERATORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) EUR 50.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by law.

11. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may modify features, limits, or these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Slovenia and applicable European Union regulations, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country provide you additional rights, those rights remain unaffected.

Disputes should first be raised through our in-app Feedback channel. If unresolved, competent courts in Slovenia may have jurisdiction, subject to mandatory consumer rules in your place of residence.
